Meet Butterfly Girl
Dear Friend,
I’d love to tell you a little about who I am and how Butterfly Girl came to be.
My journey didn’t begin in a beautiful garden. It began in what seemed like a garden full of weeds.
Looking back, I can see there were always beautiful flowers growing beneath them. I just couldn’t see them. The weeds had become so familiar that I thought they were all there was. Day after day, I found myself fighting them, giving them all of my attention, never realizing that whatever we consistently pay attention to grows.
Eventually, I stopped fighting.
Not because I suddenly grew wiser, but because I had reached a point in my life where I no longer had any answers.
Around that time, I was introduced to some extraordinary people and some very helpful practices that slowly began changing the way I experienced life.
Little by little, I learned to notice my thoughts without judging them. I learned to sit with my emotions instead of running from them. I learned to accept the parts of myself I had deemed unworthy. I discovered that peace wasn’t something I had to earn. It was something I could cultivate through my attention to it.
Then I discovered something that changed everything.
I realized I didn’t have to spend my days rehearsing everything that could go wrong. I could begin imagining what was beautiful instead. I could imagine myself peaceful, capable, joyful, deeply loved, and free. The more often I returned to those feelings, the more naturally they began showing up in my everyday life.
Of course, I still forget sometimes.
Some days I remember.
Some days I forget.
Some days I feel like I’ve failed completely.
But every day, I come back.
Now I simply keep returning.
I continue planting these seeds. I continue watering them. I continue surrounding myself with people who are also looking for what is beautiful, true, and loving. I continue practicing, day by day, little by little, to BE the being that I was born to be.
Butterfly Girl Apothecary grew from that journey.
It is my way of bringing together the things that have helped me most: nature, plants, imagination, presence, ritual, beauty, connection, and the simple practice of choosing what we want to cultivate within ourselves.
My hope is that what you find here helps you remember that beneath every fear, every doubt, and every story you’ve believed, your true nature has always been love.
I’m so excited to join you on this journey.
With so much love,
