MEET COMFORT

Imagine Comfort as a person.

Let Comfort take whatever form comes naturally to you. Notice their age, gender, clothing, face, eyes, hands, posture, even the way they smile.

Now imagine a knock at the door.
Open it.
Comfort is standing there.
Invite them in and offer them a seat. Perhaps you share a warm cup of tea.

For a few moments, don’t ask for anything. Simply notice.

  • How does Comfort sit?

  • How do they breathe?

  • How do they move?

  • How do they look at you?

Just be with them.
And when it feels right, ask:

“ Is there anything you would like for me to know? “

Then listen.

You may not receive an answer in words. Instead, you may feel Comfort, see it, or notice something about the way it moves and exists.

You may simply begin to feel what Comfort feels like.
Allow yourself to experience that feeling. See if you can recognize a little of that same Comfort already living within you.

As you move through the rest of your day, bring Comfort with you.
When you notice yourself feeling unsettled, overwhelmed, or simply needing a little care, pause and ask:

“ How would Comfort be in this moment? “

JOURNAL REFLECTION

Take a few minutes to write freely.

What was it like to be in the presence of Comfort?

What did I notice about the way Comfort moved through the world?

Where in my life could I allow myself to receive more support?

MEET THE PLANT

Oat Straw

(Avena sativa)

Oat Straw has been treasured in herbal traditions for its deeply nourishing and restorative qualities. It is traditionally used to support the nervous system, promote restful sleep, and bring a sense of calm to the body and mind.

In folklore, Oat Straw is seen as a gentle healer that “feeds the frazzled nerves” and helps the body recover from stress, fatigue, and depletion. It is often called a plant of comfort, resilience, and replenishment.

Other plant recommendations for Rest & Restore:
Vervain, Milky Oat Tops, Linden, Nettle, Marshmallow Root

CULTIVATE THROUGH PRACTICE

Just as you tend to your Seed of Love and cultivate its qualities over time, your relationship with plants can deepen through consistency and mindfulness. Spend time with your herbs and medicinal plants. Be present with your tea. Allow the plant’s nature to become deeply familiar to you. Through consistent, mindful use, you give yourself the opportunity to receive the plant more fully and embody the qualities it represents
within yourself.

Choose one plant to spend time with consistently for 4–6 weeks, and notice what begins to unfold.
